Abril Building Solutions and Restorations

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience has been beyond frustrating and needs to be shared. Abril Building was engaged through my insurer after flood damage to renovate my home, and the result has been completely unacceptable. The quality of workmanship and professionalism fell well below what anyone should expect. The flooring they installed is uneven by up to 25mm in one room, which is clearly visible and affects the usability of the space. When I raised concerns and asked about compliance with Australian building standards, I was told they do not follow those standards, which is extremely concerning. They also painted the house the wrong colour, leaving us with additional stress and inconvenience. Even more alarming, black mould was left behind inside the walls despite the scope of work including proper mould remediation. The timber flooring was installed using spot gluing, despite the manufacturer specifying a full trowel adhesive application. This raises serious concerns about the durability and longevity of the installation. Communication was also a major issue. Emails were largely ignored, and responses were only given face-to-face, which made it very difficult to keep a proper record of discussions or hold them accountable. Overall, this has been a very disappointing experience. I would strongly recommend others do thorough due diligence before engaging this company. In the end i wouldn't trust Abril to build my kids cubby house, or even organize trades to do so.

Just before Chrismas 2026 the hot water pipe burst in the kitchen and damaged floor and cupboards resulting in the kitchen and dinning room floors being removed and replaced and a kitchen cupboard (slab house). Abril were alocated to the restoration. I mainly delt with there Project Coordinator Fatima and at times Manager Michael. Having had experience in the area of repaires and restorations myself I must say that the professional attitude and customer service from Abril are second to none. The coordination of the trades and the Trades skill level were excelent. Having any sort of restorations done is never fun but Abril have made the process as painless as posible. We are extremely pleased with the work completed by Abril to restore our kitchen after water damage. We would like to acknowledge the professionalism of Wesley White during the process. Wesley kept us informed of every step of the scheduled work and of the inevitable delays which occur in a job such as ours. We feel Wesley, Danny and the team went out of their way to ensure we would be pleased with the end product. They did this by not rushing the job and by not cutting corners. It was very refreshing to witness old fashioned values and respect for the client.

Extremely reckless and dangerous driving today at M2 between Epping tunnel and Pennant Hills road. Bad idea to drive like this in a branded company car. Please care for you own safety, if don't care about other motorists.
