I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to warn others about this experience. My regular mechanic was unavailable, so I brought my car to Auto-Fix for an e-safety check. My parking lights burn out frequently — a known, recurring issue. Rather than simply replacing the bulbs, the workshop spent several hours on additional labour. Upon pickup, I was informed they had also replaced the relay and repaired connectors as a preventative measure due to the bulbs being blackened. As a trained engineer who works on my own vehicles, I cannot follow that logic — nor do I accept it. At no point was I consulted or asked for authorisation before undertaking additional electrical repairs. A routine e-safety check came to $547. The owner was polite. That aside, performing work that increases the bill tenfold without prior customer consent is not acceptable practice. If you identify additional repairs beyond the agreed scope, you are obligated to seek approval before proceeding.

Nick and John run the most interesting place, there are cars of every kind each time I am there. Old cars being done up, brand new mercedes and volvos, there was a 70s Ford Mustang last time I was there. John is a really lovely laid back person, Nick is quick with everything and an electrical engineer as well as a mechanic. Their team are highly professional. I always sleep well at night knowing they'd do a better job than I would even if I had their training!

Went into Bosch Car Service Rosebery as I couldn’t fully close the sunroof on my Mercedes Benz and they attended to it start away so I could at least close it properly. They give fantastic service and I would definitely recommend them to anyone
