We hired Jack and Jenny for a major painting and wallpaper job for our townhouse, and unfortunately we didn't have the same positive experience as others here. On the positive side, they were punctual, flexible and affordable. However, the quality was poor, and even with the low prices we would not hire them again. Overall: wallpaper - disaster; doors - no prep was done so paint is peeling off after a week; walls and ceilings - seems ok. The wallpaper job was really unprofessional, I would caution anyone against getting this company to do wallpaper. The installation had wrinkles, bubbles, large portions not stuck to the wall, foreign objects stuck behind, panels not vertical, you name it. We had to re-order >$1k worth of wallpaper and have a different contractor take off Jack and Jenny's installation and re-do the whole thing. To their credit, J&J accepted not being paid for the wallpaper job, which mitigated the financial damage. The doors: the painting itself is fine, but they seem to have done no sanding or prep of the surfaces. The screen door in particular, the paint is peeling off in chunks wherever the door comes into contact with the frame. The wall painting: so far so good. Communication was a bit rocky. For example, at one point I explained something about the wallpaper to Jenny in detail, she didn't understand what I was saying at all, but she didn't ask, just nodded. As a result they had some serious misconceptions about the brief.
