I had a very poor experience with O’Brien AutoGlass Rosebery. I booked through their call centre and specifically chose this branch because they had the earliest availability—even though it meant a 40km drive each way and taking a half-day off work. Everything seemed fine when I dropped the car off, but 40 minutes later I received a call saying they didn't actually have the windscreen in stock. The reason given was a vague "IT outage" affecting the Rosebery site. When I returned to the shop, the perceived inexperienced staff were completely unapologetic, offering an "it is what it is" attitude. It is hard to understand how a specialist glass provider fails to verify physical stock before a customer arrives. When I asked why I should still consider them for the job, they couldn't even rebook me on the spot, stating they would have to call me the next day. They offered a $100 discount, which I declined. I chose to walk away and take my business elsewhere. I was willing to pay 2 to 2.5 times the market rate because I expected "peace of mind" and premium service from a major brand. Instead, I found a business that clearly lacks the necessary IT redundancies and customer service standards to justify their pricing. This was my first time approaching O’Brien, and based on this lack of transparency and professionalism, it will be my last. *****Edit****** As of April I have not received any response from these guys. Really says a lot about the professionalism. Sad to see that when such businesses close down, thy blame everyone else but themselves. Not hoping for any resolution from them. Editing just to share the apathy named obrien *******
