We contacted Scott Electrics to quote for installing ceiling fans and an update of our switchboard in our Elizabeth Bay apartment in Sydney. Harry almost immediately came out to quote for the job and was very prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The quote impressively arrived within the hour. Today Harry and Craig arrived on time to complete the job. Fans are now installed and working perfectly. Everything was left tidy and clean. The switchboard, through no fault of theirs but a renovation requirement for our new boiler, will need to be requoted for. This didn’t cause any dramas but a very thorough investigation of what we required and how it can be delivered safely and to legal requirements that will be compatible with our new boiler. A real pleasure to have Harry and Craig in our home! They worked quickly and really listened to what we wanted, giving great advice without any pressure. Scotts Electrics recently upgraded the electrical wiring in my apartment to make it compliant with the current Australian standards for electrical installations within residential buildings. The team from Scotts were great. The building in which I reside was built in the 1920s. I had renovated my apartment and removed the original switch plates and covered over the original sockets and relocted the them in a different spot. However, Craig and Harry needed to find the original sockets/power source in order for the rewiring to be done. Using a magic tool, Craig and Harry were able to locate the original sockets which meant they could cut a small hole around the original socket without cutting into the whole wall. In addition, there were several other challenging aspects to the job which required the team to think outside the square and find a solution which they did and the team finished the work on time. The only repair that was required to be done was to the original socket in the living room which was quickly covered over the next day. Scotts did a great job and I would certainly recommend them to anyone requring electrical re-wiring particularly owners of apartments built in the 1920s.
