We had a mixed experience with Sydney Insulation. Great customer service with getting the quote done and answering any questions we had, and we are really happy with the actual performance of the insulation product, but unfortunately execution in the final stage was not up our expectations. We had blow in Knauf retrofitted to our 1950s weatherboard house, which required drilling multiple holes through the exterior weatherboard as explained in the quote. However, the product that the team used to fill these holes began to fail even a day after filling, leaving cracks and pulling away from the edges of the hole, with some even failing so much you can literally push the filler in, despite it being done nearly two weeks ago. Our painter now has to physically remove each of the dozens and dozens of filled holes and redo with a proper product. We managed to negotiate a discount on the final invoice with Sydney Insulation due to this but are still $1500 out of pocket. Apart from this, the insulation itself is performing fantastically. If anyone does decide to go ahead with blow in retrofit I would just make sure they are using the most appropriate product to fill the holes for your home.

Very pleased with service provided by Sydney Insulation. Highly recommend. Submitted weekend online enquiry on their website and was contacted early following week - spoke with Tia who was pleasant and overall a joy to speak with. An onsite visit was arranged for next day where I met with Alex who was also very pleasant to deal with and who professionally and efficiently detailed insulation options - went with combination of R7 Earthwool batts and blow in insulation for small area of roof that was inaccessible for batts. Price quoted was good - it was cheaper than two others I had sought quotes from who were quoting either R5 or R6 batts or just blow in insulation across entire roof area (which would have required sarking to be temporarily cut to access roof cavity which I was not keen on). Less than a week later Sam and his team of installers arrived and over a period of 5 - 6 hours installed everything very efficiently without any fanfare. They were pleasant to engage with and were careful not to damage anything including placing ground sheets on recently cleaned carpet. Left house tidy with all rubbish taken away. Overall very impressed with service and would highly recommend. Thank you.
