The staff are very welcoming and knowledgeable about their wines. The food was amazing in the tasting room and the smaller sizes went very well with their excellent wines.

Wine was quite decent but unfortunately was let down by the customer service at the cellar door. Did not come across welcoming in the slightest and seemed overly concerned with counting glasses (which of course we were happy to pay for) and effectively shooing is away. If you're open to the idea I suggest a customer service update and retrain!

A lovely cellar door and one of my favorites. I’ve been here about four times over the last 10 years, always a great tasting experience. It’s all about the staff when it comes to tasting, and then of course the quality of the wines. If the staff aren’t into their jobs it ruins the experience. I have had outstanding service and been well educated on how they make their wines. Even got a list of recommendations for wines and food pairing in the area. Xanadu just started doing a designated ride booking service to and from your accommodations $40 per person if you book a 12p lunch or 5p dinner there. How good is that service? I have been saying for years the area needed a ride service. Sam was a lovely hostess today and the ambiance in this cellar door was very inviting and pleasant. Thank you!

We recently visited Xanadu Wines to celebrate our anniversary, and overall it was a really lovely experience. The service was a standout. The team noticed our anniversary note in the booking and surprised us with complimentary bubbles, which was a very thoughtful touch and set the tone for the afternoon. The wine was excellent — exactly what you’d expect from a Margaret River winery, well-balanced and enjoyable throughout the meal. We went with the 2-course menu ($75), which we thought was great value. For food, we had: Duck breast with cauliflower, red grapes and herbs — nicely cooked and well presented. Beef tenderloin with parsnip, baby carrot, potato crisp and pickled onion — solid dish, cooked well. Orange & saffron risotto with pecorino — good flavour, a bit on the sweet side. Potatoes with spiced salt and mayonnaise — crispy and soft inside very enjoyable. While everything was good, it didn’t quite have that “wow” factor you sometimes hope for at this level. Dessert was the only part that didn’t quite land for us. The filo pastry cannolo with pumpkin, Valrhona dark chocolate and ginger was interesting, but the flavour combination wasn’t really to my taste. Overall, a beautiful setting with excellent service and great wine. Definitely worth visiting, especially for a relaxed lunch or special occasion.

We celebrated our 30th Wedding anniversary at Xanadu. The cellar door staff were friendly, professional and really looked after us. The restaurant staff were fabulous and know their stuff. The food was excellent and the setting was superb. Look forward to returning in the future.
